Happy 18th Anniversary!

August13...what a magical day! TR and I said "I do" and then went to McDonald's and enjoyed a happy meal; one for a boy and one for a girl. He then took me to our new 2 bedroom apartment and carried me over the threshhold. We were paying $250.00 a month and we washed our own dishes. We had what Dakota calls "Good times". When I look back at my picture, I remember words like small and medium that were in my everyday vocabulary...now I use words like Large and X-Large. Ha

First Day of School

First day of school came....a little to quick if you ask me. Dakota let me take his picture this morning (tradition of ours)...he was most cooperative. He was up and dressed by 7:15! I was impressed. I hope the rest of the school year is this way. Good luck today Dakota!

Spring Break at Epcot Walt Disney World, Florida

It was the second day of our trip to Disney World and it rained. We had gone to Animal Kingdom that morning, pictures coming later and when we got to Epcot that afternoon, the rain had subsided, but the wind was heavy. Although the weather was awful, it was amazing to see the beautiful way Disney had crafted several of its famous characters into shapes from plants. We tried to get as many pictures as we could, but there were sooooo many people and it was difficult to get a good shot without getting a stranger in the picture as well.

I am so proud of you, TR

TR has been nominated to be a deacon. This is a big event in our lives and I am so proud of him. I know he will do an outstanding job as a deacon for the Eastern Shore Church of Christ. We are so blessed to be a part of this church family and are honored to be nominated for this role.

4-5-09
The following is an ALERT message from the Eastern Shore Church of ChristOur elders have placed two men before us for consideration as elders of the Eastern Shore church. Sid Chupek and John Langham have agreed to serve. As deacons, T.R. Clevenger, Jonathan Ling and Kent Purser have been selected. The elders ask that for two weeks you give consideration to these five men. If you know of some reason they should not serve, talk to the man first. Then, if your concerns are not resolved please put it in writing and give it to either Scott Kelley or Bill Jordan. If no problems are discovered, these men will be installed on Sunday, April 19th.

Dylan's arm is now in a sling

I got a phone call and email from my mom and sister Suzanne letting me know that my youngest nephew, Dylan was being taken to the ER. He was on a field trip and somehow fractured his wrist. Looking at the picture, he looks so sad. Dylan, if you are reading this, we love you and hope you have a speedy recovery.

Marvey goes mudding

In August 2008 we took my new 2008 Wrangler out to do some trailriding, since there aren't too many off-roading spots in Daphne, AL. It had just rained so we found a huge puddle and I took my Jeep "mudding". It was the first time I had gotten it dirty intentionally and I thought it was so much fun. We have not taken it off-roading or trailriding in a while, but everytime we look at a dirt road, the three of us wonder if there is a "No Trespassing" sign anywhere. It is the cheapest form of entertainment and we cannot get enough of it.

Hurricane Gustav Sept 2008

Labor Day 2008, Hurricane Gustav blew in to Daphne, AL. TR, Dakota and I had no work and no school for the day. We decided to see what damage was done in Fairhope, AL. We had a great time chasing the rain. We took our dog Patches along with us and she enjoyed the car ride.
